Questions? We’ve Got You Covered

What's the difference between SeraWave™ and a massage gun? +

A massage gun delivers percussive vibration to muscle tissue. It is effective for muscle knots, soreness, and recovery after exercise. It does not address fascia.

SeraWave™ combines four therapies through a single contact point: heat to soften the fascia, EMS to activate dormant muscles, vibration to drain lymphatic congestion, and a 3-bladed contoured edge to physically shear the released fascia. The fascia layer is what holds your turtle posture in place. Massage guns cannot reach it.

Will it hurt? I've tried tools that left me bruised. +

No. The traditional gua sha and IASTM tools that bruise you do so because they scrape cold, rigid fascia. Cold fascia resists shearing. To break the bonds, you need pressure, and the pressure causes surface bruising before the fascia releases.

SeraWave™ uses heat first. The fascia is warmed into a pliable state before the scraping begins. Once the tissue is softened, the blade shears it cleanly without needing pressure. The result is release without bruising. Some redness for an hour after a session is normal. Bruising is not.

If you do see bruising, lower your heat level, reduce your stroke speed, and use only the natural weight of the device. The mechanism does not require force.

Does it cause pain or discomfort? +

No. The first 2-3 sessions can feel unfamiliar because the EMS produces a buzzing sensation that most people have never experienced before. This is not pain. It is the electric pulses reaching dormant muscles and waking them up. Most users get fully used to the sensation within a week.

Some skin redness immediately after a session is normal and fades within an hour. Bruising should not happen. If you see any bruising, you are pressing too hard. Use only the weight of the device, not extra pressure.

Will this work for severe or long-standing posture issues? +

It works best for soft-tissue posture issues, which is the majority of cases in adults under 50 with desk-related forward head posture. If your hump is primarily soft tissue (firm and rubbery to the touch, not hard and bony), the mechanism will work.

If you have structural vertebral changes (typically from osteoporosis in older adults, or from injury or congenital conditions), the device can release the soft-tissue layer around it but cannot reshape the underlying bone. In those cases, we recommend consulting a physical therapist or orthopedist before purchasing.

If you have had your posture issues for 10+ years, you may need 90 days instead of 42 to see the full visible reversal. The mechanism still works. The timeline just extends because there is more accumulated tissue to dissolve.

How is the device cleaned? +

Wipe the contoured head with a soft damp cloth after each use to remove any gel residue. For deeper cleaning, use a mild soap and water solution on the head, then dry thoroughly. Do not submerge the device in water. Do not use alcohol, bleach, or harsh chemicals on the surface as they can damage the zinc alloy finish.

The device is designed for personal use only. We do not recommend sharing it between users.

Can I use it if I'm pregnant or breastfeeding? +

We do not recommend using SeraWave™ during pregnancy. EMS is contraindicated for pregnant women.

For breastfeeding mothers, we recommend consulting your healthcare provider before use. While many low-intensity EMS applications are considered acceptable during breastfeeding, individual circumstances vary and your provider is the right person to advise based on your situation.

Can I use it if I have a pacemaker or other implanted device? +

No. The EMS function should not be used by anyone with a pacemaker, defibrillator, or other implanted electronic device. The electrical signal can interfere with the implant. If you have any implanted medical device, consult your healthcare provider before considering this product.

Is it safe to use daily? +

Yes. The device is designed for daily 10-minute sessions and the protocol is built around that frequency. Daily use is what produces the compounding release of the fascia lock.

Does it work on places other than the neck? +

Yes. SeraWave™ is designed primarily for the neck, upper traps, and suboccipital area, but the same mechanism works on most soft-tissue zones with fascial restrictions. Common additional use areas include:

  • Shoulders and rotator cuff area
  • Upper and middle back
  • Lower back
  • Glutes and hamstrings
  • IT bands and outer thighs
  • Calves
  • Forearms (for desk workers with tight wrists and forearms from typing)

There are areas you should never touch with the device: the front of the throat, directly on spine bones, the carotid artery zone on the sides of the neck, lymph nodes under the jaw, and the face, eyes, or ears. The full list of safe and avoid zones is in your bonus guide.
